for OUR SHINING BRIGHT THANk-you NIGHT

We are seeking your nominations!

Is there a standout YMCA Youth or Volunteer in your department who exemplifies leadership, dedication, and the values that make the YMCA such a special community?  
We want to honour their contributions at our Thank You Night on Saturday, March 7th, and we need your help to identify these exceptional individuals. 
The four awards will be presented to deserving YMCA Youth Staff and Volunteers at the event!
 
Nominations are due by EOD Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Awards Descriptions:

  • Michael Moore Memorial Award: Presented to a YMCA Youth (in Gr. 8-12 in 2025) who has demonstrated YMCA values in their actions & words and has made significant advancements in personal development and leadership to overcome challenges through their YMCA involvement.
  • James Commerford Youth Award: Presented to a YMCA Youth (in Gr. 8-12 in 2025) who has demonstrated high academic standards and strong leadership skills within the YMCA and the community. Can be more than 1 person.
  • J. Gordon Dunlop Volunteer Award: Presented to a YMCA Volunteer or Volunteer group who has made extensive contributions to YMCA Northumberland and who has provided long-term leadership in the program or policy areas.
  • Rolph Family Spirit of Giving Award: Presented to an individual, family or group, who exemplifies the values of the YMCA philanthropy program, through contributions of time, talent, and treasure.
