Lifeguarding makes great employment and provides you with skills and learning that will last a lifetime.

During certain times of the year, YMCA Northumberland offers certification for Standard First Aid, Bronze Cross and Bronze Medallion, National Lifeguard (Pool) and National Lifeguard (Waterfront).

CAMPBELLFORD Y : Red Cross Babysitting Course

For Youth Ages 11 – 15 years

  • Learn Basic First Aid
  • Acquire Caregiving Skills for a variety of age groups
  • Learn how to prevent & respond to emergencies
  • Learn how to promote yourself as a babysitter

Course Runs at the Sunny Life Recreation & Wellness Centre:

  • Friday, April 4 from 5 – 8pm
  • Saturday, April 5 from 10am – 5pm
Cost is $75 Members / $95 Non-Members.

 

National Lifeguard Course

Ages:15+

Pre-Requisite: Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid/CPR ‘C’ (proof must be shown on the first day)
