Lifeguarding makes great employment and provides you with skills and learning that will last a lifetime.

During certain times of the year, YMCA Northumberland offers certification for Standard First Aid, Bronze Cross and Bronze Medallion, National Lifeguard (Pool) and National Lifeguard (Waterfront).

Bronze Medallion/Bronze Cross/Emergency First Aid Course

We are running a course at the Cobourg Y over the holidays. Here are the details:

Pre-Requisite: Min. 13 years of age OR Bronze Star Certification (proof must be shown on the 1st day)

  • Thurs Dec 26th  from 9:00am – 2:00pm 
  • Fri Dec 27th from 9:00am – 6:00 pm
  • Sat Dec 28th from 9:00am – 6:00 pm
  • Sun Dec 29th from 9:00am – 6:00 pm 
  • Mon Dec 30th from 9:00am – 6:00 pm 
 
100% attendance and participation is required.
Cost is $360 includes all manuals and exam fees.

 

National Lifeguard Course

Ages:15+

Pre-Requisite: Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid/CPR ‘C’ (proof must be shown on the first day)
