The vision has come to fruition!
We are excited to share the updated progress on YMCA Northumberland’s partnership project with Trent Hills. The Sunny Life Recreation & Wellness Centre that is currently under construction in Campbellford, is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2024.
The facility is located on Seymour Quarry Road just south of Campbellford and Giant Tiger.
The new build is 66,000 square feet and includes an arena which will be operated by the Municipality of Trent Hills. A full suite of YMCA amenities that include a warming pool, 4 lane 25 metre pool, a conditioning centre, male, female and universal changerooms, two studios and multi-purpose space will be operated by YMCA Northumberland. YMCA representatives will be scheduled at the outdoor pool in Campbellford during July and August (times to be determined) to promote the new facility’s membership options, programs and services.
This project has been many years in the making and due to the commitment and dedication of the Trent Hills community, Mayor, Council, staff and the solid partnership that has been established with YMCA Northumberland over the 20 years of operation in Trent Hills, the vision has come to fruition.
