YTHRIVE FAQs

 YTHRIVE is a 6 month fitness program to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. Over the 6 months, members will have 4 sessions (or appointments) with a YTHRIVE coach plus 3 additional check-ins by phone or email.

Participants meet with a YMCA coach regularly to learn the workouts safely and get the support needed to keep going. The exercises can be completed at your convenience and the goal is to provide you with effective routines so you can get the most of your workouts.

YTHRIVE is designed to keep you motivated and help you reach your goals faster. The dedicated team of coaches will support you and provide you with workout plans designed by experts to help you diversify your routine and get the results you want.

Meet with a YTHRIVE coach who will work with you to access your situation. Although many of the exercises can be adapted to accommodate specific limitations or restrictions, it is essential to prioritize your safety and well-being when engaging in any physical activity.

YTHRIVE is a 6-month generalized program that is included in membership. A YTHRIVE coach provides education and motivation to new and returning members in building their fitness acumen and adherence. The purpose of YTHRIVE is to help members feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to use YMCA amenities and services. For instance, A YTHRIVE coach may instruct the member on how to adjust the settings on the treadmill, sign up for a yoga class, or access the locker rooms.Both are valuable services the YMCA provides to support members in their fitness journey, yet they are not the same. They serve unique purposes, benefits, and formats and understanding the differences will support your conversations with members, helping them to choose the service that best aligns with their individual needs and goals.

Personal Training is a recurring service with an hourly rate that provides a customized workout plan and coaching to a member who has specific fitness goals, needs, or challenges. Personal training helps members reach targeted goals, optimal performance levels, and particular health outcomes. There is a lot of customization that occurs with Personal Training. For example, a workout plan would look very different for a member aiming for weight loss, who has a knee injury, or preparing for a marathon.

YTHRIVE coach appointments or sessions are done one-on-one to ensure that you receive a personalized experience tailored to your specific needs. Following your individual sessions, you can certainly do your YTHRIVE exercises together with a workout buddy! It is a great opportunity to motivate each other and make the experience even more rewarding.

Yes, the workout plans are yours to keep. Additionally, as a YTHRIVE Alumni, you will have access to a library of workouts for you to continue progressing your workouts on your own!
