Join us for the YMCA Northumberland’s Rainbow Run, a celebration of love and diversity in a welcoming atmosphere that also raises funds to build and strengthen our whole community. And this year, thanks to our partnership with Northumberland Pride, we will be holding a kids Bubble Dash first where they can join Pickles the Unicorn for a chase through iridescent bubbles!
Get ready to lace up your sneakers, put on some colours and walk or run, all while spreading some rainbow magic for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and Pride month!
- When: Sunday, June 7, check-in opens at 9:30am, Bubble Dash at 10:00am / Rainbow Race begins at 10:15am.
- Where: Starts at Cobourg Yacht Club, route goes by waterfront and through downtown.
- What: Lace up for a colourful celebration of love, acceptance, and well-being while raising funds to make a world of change in someone’s life through the Strong Communities Campaign as welll as in support of Northumberland Pride.
- Race types: For kids & kids at heart, complete our fun Bubble Dash to start the day, and afterwards, everyone can choose between a 2.5 km or 5 km walk or run through Cobourg’s waterfront and downtown, with fees dependent on ages.
Highlights:
- Community and family-oriented fundraising event celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies.
- Funds raised support YMCA’s ability to remove barriers and empower more health, wellness, connection, confidence, and belonging; one person and one moment at a time, AND support Northumberland Pride.
- Registration: Adults (age 15 yrs.+) $28.99 / Youth (age 5-14) $12.99 / Kids 4 & under are free.
- First 250 registered participants receive a finisher medal.
- Dress up in vibrant, multi-toned outfits to embrace the festive spirit.
- Furry friends and strollers welcome.
- BBQ Lunch available afterwards, thanks to the Lion’s Club of Cobourg.
