STEP 1: TAKE THE eLEARNING PRE-REQUISITE BEFORE SEPT. 13

Complete the Prerequisite YMCA Basic Fitness Theory Course & Personal Trainer Week 1 Online course (8-hour e-learning) before starting the In-Person portion of the Personal Training Course. 

STEP 2: TAKE THE IN-PERSON CERTIFICATION COURSE

Become a fitness expert and a YMCA Certified Personal Trainer through the YMCA Personal Trainer Certification Course. The Course is four 8-hour day sessions and runs every Sunday for 4 weeks.

YMCA Personal Trainer Certification Course Dates (hours may vary slightly): 

  • Sunday, September 13, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
  • Sunday, September 20, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
  • Sunday, September 27, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • Sunday, October 4, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm

Location: First session at the Cobourg Y. Other sessions may move to the Campbellford or Brighton Ys with carpooling available.

Registration Deadline: Monday, August 31

Fees:  

  • Members: $480 + HST = $542.40
  • Non-Members: $565 + HST = $638.45

Material: The YMCA Trainer Certification Course Manual will be available upon the first day of the YMCA Personal Trainer Certification Course.
